Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed confidence that complete prohibition will be successful in Bihar and the same would be later implemented in the whole country.

"I am quite confident that complete prohibition will be successful in Bihar. I took the decision of enforcing prohibition keeping in mind people's sentiments. Those who are praying for prohibition not to meet success will end up being disappointed," Kumar said.

Kumar was addressing a platinum jubilee function of Bihar Bengalee Association at A N Sinha Institute in the state capital.

Some people are questioning the decision of prohibition on the ground that it has not been successful anywhere, Kumar said wondering, "Should I quit taking efforts to enforce complete prohibition."

Stating that people are actively participating in enforcing prohibition, Kumar also pledged support to the anti- liquor movements in the neighbouring states.

The movement against liquor has gained momentum everywhere and can be implemented in the whole country at a later stage, he added.
