Con man arrested

A 52-year-old man who allegedly

conned several people posing as policeman has been arrested by South district Delhi police.

The accused has been identified as Afsar Ali (52), a native of Sajjad Bagh, Lucknow.

Police got a tip off about Ali's movement on MB Road, Asian Market on October 15 following which they laid a trap and arrested him.

"During interrogation, Ali disclosed to have cheated many people along with his associates, posing as policeman. He was earlier arrested on different occasions by the teams of Lahori Gate, Karol Bagh, Sadar Bazar and Kotwali police stations around 13-14 years ago," said the investigating officer.
 

As per records, there are seven cases of cheating registered against Ali.
