Raising the issue during the Zero Hour, Harin Pathak (BJP) said the passports of these young men, including 40 from Gujarat, had been "snatched away by the employers. They have been ousted from their homes and their salaries have not been paid. They have been on the streets in a foreign country for the past 6-7 days."
Maintaining that the media has been reporting their "sorry plight", he asked the government to take urgent steps through the External Affairs Ministry to bring them back.
Pathak said Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had also raised the matter with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in a letter on Saturday.
