For better access to Nizamuddin station premises, Northern Railway has constructed the main concourse with a spacious porch area, ahead of the launch of the Railways' first semi-high speed Gatiman Express.
The main concourse has been provided with counters for platform ticket, enquiry, 'May I help you' booth as well as offices for the station manager and ticket checking staff among other facilities.
A new platform is also coming up at the station to cater to the growing traffic there.
The newly constructed main concourse has been provided with a spacious porch area for easy access to passengers, Divisional Railway Manager of Delhi Division Arun Arora said.
The new concourse shall be inaugurated by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu along with the launch of much-awaited Nizamuddin-Agra Gatiman Express on April 5.
He will also inaugurate an executive lounge at Agra station though video conferencing facility from here.
