The condition of five major roads of Haryana will be improved through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, state Industries and Public Works Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said here today.
The five roads identified for the project are Bahalgarh chowk Meerut-Sonepat road, Panipat-Sonali Road SH-16, Kond-Moonak-Salwan-Assandh road till MDR border, Palwal- Aligarh Road and Karnal-Meerut Road, he said after inaugurating three developmental works here.
Surjewala said that 151 kms long four lanned project of Rai Malikpur Narnaul-Mahendergarh -Dadri-Bhiwani-Kharak Corridor is being started with an approved amount of Rs 1,605 crore. This project would improve road connectivity of Haryana-Rajasthan road.

He said that for the next financial year, the state government has allocated a budget of Rs 2834.78 crore for Public Works Department. It included planned budget of Rs 1932.06 crore and unplanned budget of Rs 902.72 crore.
The state government is observing 2013 as industry and employment year and has set a target of capital investment of Rs 2 lakh crore.
