BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today said the condition of milk producers in Uttar Pradesh is pitiable despite the fact that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav belongs to their community.
"Notwithstanding the fact that the Chief Minister of UP belongs to the milkman clan, the condition of milk producers in the state is pitiable," Modi said at a rally here.
In his 20-minute speech, Modi claimed that Muslims in Uttar Pradesh enjoyed only 5 per cent participation in industrial activities whereas in Gujarat it is 16 per cent.

Claiming himself a vendor, Modi urged people to choose between "a chai wala (tea vendor) and a Shahzada (Rahul Gandhi)".
