The Madras High Court today granted conditional bail to former DMK Minister K R Periyakaruppan, his son and 10 others in connection with an alleged incident of violence during campaigning in the run up to the May 16 assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.
Justice Gokul Dass of the Madurai bench directed him to appear before the police station concerned and sign daily till further orders.
Periyakaruppan, who contested from Tiruppattur Assembly constituency, has won the seat for the third time in a row.
