Pleasant conditions prevailed in the north today even as minimum temperatures hovered above normal levels in many parts of the region.
The day was a slightly sweaty one in Delhi as humidity in the air oscillated between 39 and 88 per cent.
The minimum in the national capital settled at 16.6 degrees Celsius, which was three notches above the normal, while the maximum at 31.7 degrees was recorded two notches above the season's average.
According to MeT officials, night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Punjab and west Rajasthan and in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan.
The MeT office has predicted clear skies tomorrow in Delhi.
"The skies will remain mainly clear with mist and shallow fog in the morning.
"The maximum is expected to be 32 degrees and the minimum, 17 degrees," said a MeT official.
The weatherman, in the forecast for rainfall in the coming 48 hours, has said that showers would occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and in a few places in Punjab.
Rainfall is also likely at isolated places in Uttarakhand and Haryana while dry weather would prevail in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, the weather office said.
