Experts from India and abroad will discuss the rising threat of transnational terrorism and its consequences and ways to counter the global challenge at a Counter Terrorism Conference 2015 here tomorrow.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the three-day conference tomorrow organised by Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice-Jodhpur, according to a government spokesperson here.
Sessions on 26/11 attacks, cross-border terrorism, counter-terrorism capacity and infrastructure, Talibanism of Pakistan and Afghanistan region, maritime terrorism, terror trade- weapons, narcotics and fake currency, case study of Ethno-National Terrorist Groups: LTTE and Chechen Rebels, CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) terrorism, intelligence sharing, social media and terrorism, Left Wing extremism will be addressed by different speakers, the university sources said.
Union Ministers including Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, MoS for External Affairs V K Singh and other speakers from the country and abroad including USA, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Greece, Serbia, Italy, Israel, Nepal and Russia - have been invited for the conference.
