Congress activists today held a protest in front Gurdaspur MP Vinod Khanna's house here after they were allegedly not allowed to meet the actor turned politician.

"When we came to know that Khanna has come to Pathankot, we as citizens wanted to meet him and ask him about his delayed visit to Pathankot which came under terror attack last month," District Chairman of Congress's Kisan and Khet Mazdoor Cell Thakur Amit Singh said.

"We sent a message to his house in Pathankot for meeting him. But, we were told that he was unwell," he said, asking, "How could he refuse to meet people of his constituency?"

"When we could not meet him, we finally decided to hold a protest in front of the MP's house," Singh said.

Congress activists raised sloagans against the BJP MP and demanded his resignation.

"If he is unwell, he should resign from the post and let another person take the charge of hearing the problems of people," Singh said.
