Reacting to Amarinder Singh's anointment as PCC chief, SAD president and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal today said Congress has admitted defeat for the Assembly elections by fielding a "two-time loser".
Congress party has already admitted that it is no longer in the race for the assembly elections in 2017 by fielding a "two-time loser" Captain Amarinder Singh to lead the party here, Badal said.
The Akali leader said Amarinder had already created a record by ensuring back to back defeats for congress in Punjab and now he is set to create a "hat-trick of defeats".

"He is a man of history and wants to be remembered for these records. We welcome a loudmouth rather than a man of action at the helm of congress affairs," Badal said in a statement here.
"Like in the last two assembly elections, captain (Amairnder Singh) will talk big, use choicest abuses against us and then start blaming everybody else in Punjab congress for the inevitable defeat in the elections and disappear into cooler climes to enjoy retirement."
Earlier today Congress party appointed Singh as the new Punjab PCC chief and made senior leader Ambika Soni the head of the Campaign Committee for the 2017 Assembly elections in the state.
