The failure of the ruling Congress dispensation in Rajasthan to open inquiries into alleged cases of corruption by the former BJP government in the state showed that the two parties were in fact hand in glove, independent MP Dr Kirodilal Meena charged today.
Both the parties were "corrupt" and had apparently entered into an agreement that whosoever was in power would keep the interests of the opposition in mind, the Dausa MP said.
Meena was in Jodhpur to attend a public meeting.

"Both (Congress and BJP) are accusing each other of being corrupt, which is true as both of them have failed miserably on peoples' expectations," Meena said.
Referring to the issue of the transfer of Jaisalmer SP Pankaj Choudhary, Meena said that the state government was demoralising honest officers who were dedicated to their duty.
Choudhary was allegedly transferred after he reopened the history sheet against Gazi Fakir, the father of Congress MLA Saleh Mohammed.
Meena said that a third front was fast taking shape as an alternative for the people of the state who are disappointed with both Congress and BJP.
