Accusing the Congress and BJP of playing tit-for-tat politics, TMC Rajya Sabha leader Derek O' Brien today said the party wanted discussion on issues like corruption, black money and federalism and also wanted the GST bill to pass.
"We wanted Parliament to run. We wanted discussion on a variety of subjects like corruption, black money and federalism. We wanted legislation like GST to pass. Not one of Trinamool's 46 MPs entered the Well or shouted slogans inside the House. The Congress and BJP are playing tit-for-tat politics," O'Brien told PTI.
Brien made the observation a day after the four-week Monsoon session of the Parliament ended in virtual washout, delaying passage of legislations, including the crucial GST bill.
