The Congress Saturday came out with a "people's charge sheet" accusing TRS chief and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of failing to keep his promises to the people of Telangana.

Racheting up the attack on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi ahead of the December 7 state assembly polls, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala described KCR as "BJP stooge" and "King of Corruption and Rhetoric" and said the TRS should be renamed "Telangana Ravaged by Self-Interests."

Surjewala alleged that KCR (as Rao is popularly known) and TRS provided family rule, coupled with "unbridled and rampant corruption."

"The four-years-three-months of TRS government is corruption and utter misrule. KCR's single point agenda is family and coterie rule.

KCR-led TRS government should be given a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most corrupt government of India," he said at a press conference here, after releasing the "charge sheet on anti-people rule of TRS in Telangana."

Surjewala claimed that the TRS and BJP were undeclared allies in the state and Centre and that vote for TRS is vote for BJP.

"KCR is a BJP stooge failing to protect Telangana's interests. He supported the NDA and BJP on different occasions."

"Bada Modi (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) and Chota Modi (KCR) are in the looting and cheating together to dupe and deceive the people of Telangana and the entire country, Surjewala said, referring to the TRS extending support to the BJP-led NDA government's decisions on demonetisation and GST.

KCR wasnow indulging in fake theatrics to distance himself from the Prime Minister and his party, but people know the truth, the congress leader alleged.

According to Surjewala, KCR came to power promising transformation of the newly carved out state but only his family members are in the car (TRS party symbol) and TRS leadership betrayed every strata of the society.

"Power hungry KCR hijacked the Telangana movement and betrayed the people of Telangana," he said.

People hoped that after the formation of the new state that they would have first right on resources---water--drinking and irrigation, funds, pension, health cards and housing, jobs in public and private sector but all that remained a pipe dream, Surjewala said.

"That's why we have brought out 24 major charges in the form of people's charge sheet"," he said.

He alleged that TRS leaders were involved in several scams.

Under the TRS government, he said, agriculture sector was in deep crisis and 4500 farmers had committed suicide.

"Not a single irrigation project has been executed," he said.

"The only thing they did is refurbished, redesigned and re-engineer to take maximum commission from contractors resulting in large-scale misappropriation of funds," Surjewala said.

The Congress leader attacked KCR for not making a Dalit the CM and accused him of failing to keep his promises including giving 3 acres to dalits and cheating tribals and minorities over reservation.

The finances of Telangana have been plundered, he alleged, adding that when Telangana was formed it had Rs 7,500 crore revenue surplus but under the TRS governmentpublic debt doubled to Rs 1.80 lakh crore as against Rs 70,000 crore during 2014-15.

"After the Congress-led alliance government is formed in Telangana, a People's Commission will be formed to investigate all these 24 charges in the people's charge sheet in a time-bound period.

Anyone found guilty, including chief minister and ministers and elected representatives, will be punished and sent to jail," Surjewala said.
