Congress, a major ally in the JMM-led government in Jharkhand, today reaffirmed its commitment to provide good governance through better coordination and common minimum programme.
"The Congress is a committed party and it knows its role very well. The party is in the government and makes all efforts in providing good governance," PCC president Sukhdeo Bhagat said here.
Addressing the PCC's Chhotanagpur convention here, Bhagat said for good governance only two committees were set up - CMP's Implementation Committee and Coordination Committee of the allies - to address all sections of the society.

Referring to AJSU party's ongoing series of agitations demanding special economic package for Jharkhand, Bhagat claimed the state had surrendered funds worth 18,000 crore in the last 13 years.
"After wasting funds in 13 years, now they are sitting on fast for according special status to the state. They should better fast as repentance for surrendering the funds meant for development," he added.
Bhagat explained Congress workers to make people aware of the benefits of Food Security Bill, Land Acquisition Bill and other central programmes.
