Opposition Congress in Rajasthan today demanded a judicial probe into the death of 12 people with special needs, mostly children, at a government-run home near Jaipur and asked the BJP government to own responsibility for the incident.
PCC President Sachin Pilot handed over a representation to Governor Kalyan Singh and requested him to visit the state-run home at Jamdoli where 12 specially-abled persons died between April 16 and 27 due to suspected bacterial infection after drinking contaminated water.
"The government is just covering up the issue and running away from its responsibility. A case against those politically responsible should be filed for criminal negligence," pilot told reporters outside the Raj Bhawan.
