Congress today expressed concern over report of death of 17 children due to 'malnutrition' in the tribal-dominated Mohada tenshil of Palghar district of Maharashtra since July last.
Expressing concern over reports to that effect, AICC Spokesman Dr. Ajoy Kumar, who was accompanied by the JPCC President Sukhdeo Bhagat, MLA, former Ministers Sarfraj Ahmed and Dulal Bhuiyan, said the Union government was not bothered about the prevailing conditions of tribal and dalit community in the country.
For the first time in the country, the Union government did not spend Rs. 35,000 crore meant for the welfare of the tribal and dalits in the country, Kumar told a press conference here.
