The state Congress today welcomed party high command's decision of appointing Ambika Soni as general secretary, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hailing the decision, former Congress minister and MLA Inderwal, G M Saroori said, "This decision will strengthen the party at the grass root level. Her appointment will further boost the party's rank and file in forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls."
Addressing a series of public meetings in Kishtwar district Saroori said, the government has already given a clear direction and asked the district and sectoral officers to consult sarpanchs for developing village level plans, but unfortunately the decision has not been implemented.
The Congress leader assured the people that their demands and problems would be considered sympathetically and for early redressal.
