Expressing concern over the rising incidents of crime, Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot today said that the Vasundhara Raje-led government has failed to maintain law and order in the state.

"Law and order situation has deteriorated in the state in the last one year under BJP rule. Criminals are without any fear. Businessmen are being targeted.

"Recently, a jeweller was shot dead in Alwar, while a youth was also killed in broad daylight in Kotputli. A rape victim who was on a strike was dragged and evicted forcibly by police in Jalore," Pilot said in a statement.

The Congress leader said the government was solely responsible for the feeling of insecurity among people, particularly women and minors.

"All such incidents show that there is no rule of law in the state. It is a complete failure of the state government which is unfortunate," he said.
