Delhi Congress today held protests over "back breaking" rise in prices of essential commodities at all Assembly constituencies of the city, condemning "failure" of BJP ruled Centre and AAP government to control skyrocketing costs.
"All senior Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee leaders including its president Ajay Maken participated in dharna organised at Assembly constituencies where double headed effigies depicting Modi and Kejriwal were torched as a mark of protest," a party spokesman said.
"Both BJP-led Central Government and the Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party Government were busy clashing on petty issues instead of addressing serious matters like price rise, which has a direct bearing on household expenses of common people," Maken said.
