Accusing Congress and Left parties of playing a "cynical ploy to sabotage India's economic growth", BJP today said a team of five NDA MPs, led by a minister, would campaign in the 53 Lok Sabha constituencies represented by the parties "who blocked Monsoon session of Parliament."
BJP spokesman Kirit Somaiya alleged that most Kerala MPs were involved in the disruption and so the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state represented by Left and Congress would see maximum team members campaigning from September 25 to October 2.
"First of all, we are really feeling sorry...The whole monsoon session was washed out. ...The disruption by opposition Congress and Left parties resulted in a washout of the Monsoon session.

Somaiyya said there are 44 Congress MPs of Lok Sabha and nine MPs of the Left Front. "These 53 members did not allow Parliament to function. From September 25 to October 2, a team will tour each constituency," he said.
He said, "The deliberate and forcible disruption of the monsoon session was a cynical ploy to sabotage India's economic growth at a moment of historical renewal and, given the international economic climate, rare opportunity and optimism towards India".
