Congress has lodged a complaint with Delhi Police against a man who allegedly posed as the president of a non-existent party organ and misused its address, police said today.

A case of cheating and forgery has been registered against one person on a complaint filed by Congress treasurer Motilal Vohra last week, a senior police official said.

According to the complainant, the man allegedly posed as the national president of Akhil Bharatiya Karkarni Nigrani Avam Gopniya Manch whose address was given as 24, Akbar Road, the Congress HQ.

"The telephone numbers mentioned in the letterhead also belong to the All India Congress Committee (AICC). Apart from this, he has been circulating a forged document containing forged signatures of Archana Dalmia, Secretary of AICC.

"I would like to bring out here that there is no such organisation mentioned under the AICC," Vohra said in his complaint.
