Accusing Congress of "shielding" the accused in the Vyapam scam, BJP today said it trusts its chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as he initiated a through investigation into the scam.
Congress leaders are making "false" allegations against the chief minister while they are standing behind the accused, BJP said.
Standing strongly behind Chouhan, Union Minister and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar said, "We trust our chief minister. He started investigating the scam and brought the guilty to book. It is the Congress leaders who are standing by the accused. They are the advocates of the accused. They have ganged up."

The Minister said Chouhan was in Delhi to attend a social function at the residence of party patriarch L K Advani and there was no question of him being summoned, as being propagated by the Congress.
He said in a bid to shelter the real culprits in the scam, against whom the Madhya Pradesh chief minister has initiated action, they are making all kinds of false allegations against him.
Congress leaders Digvijay Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia and others have made allegations against the chief minister, saying he is also involved in the scam.
