The personal assistant of Congress MLA Membrar Gogoi was killed and his two security guards were injured in a road accident when they were returning from a poll related work, police said today.
The MLA escaped unhurt.
Diganta Bordoloi was killed when the vehicle of the MLA collided with a truck near Kakojan on NH-37 about 11 pm last night.
Two security guards of the MLA were seriously injured and admitted to Jorhat Medical College Hospital.
