"This is injustice. You cannot go back from your promise," Jai Prakash Aggarwal said in the Lok Sabha pointing out that his demands for extension of the metro rail project in important locations in his North East Delhi constituency were not accepted by Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath despite his several requests.

A visibly agitated Aggarwal also asked the Minister to take action against officials who prepare plans for the project.

"You should take severe action against officials ignoring the development need of a backward area while preparing the projects," the Congress leader said participating in a debate on the demands for grants for Urban Development Ministry.

Aggarwal said he would continue to raise the issue till his demand is met. PTI TGB
