"The Congress doesn't have any interest in forming government in Jharkhand. Had it been so, President's rule would not have been imposed there," Jaiswal said in reply to a query by the reporters at the airport here.
His remarks came, weeks after state Congress leaders appeared keen on joining hands with the JMM.
The Coal Minister dismissed any dialogue between the Congress and the JMM over the possibility of any government formation.
Asserting that neither a new government would be formed nor there was any dialogue going on with the JMM in this regard, he said, "No one knows what will happen in the future."
After withdrawing support to BJP-led government on January 8, JMM leader Hemant Soren had sought more time from Governor Syed Ahmed as his party was in dialogue with the Congress leadership in providing a new alternative. However, soon after the state was placed under President's rule and the House was kept under suspended animation.
