Taking strong exception to the burning of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's effigy by Congress workers, BJP today said the opposition party was "politicising" a court matter and should rather apologise to people for stalling Parliament over the National Herald case.
"They are attacking a Prime Minister who is taking all measures to fight corruption. Congress has politicised something that basically Modi has nothing to do. It should apologise to people for its conduct, including stalling of Parliament," BJP secretary Shrikant Sharma said.
Congress should "cooperate" with the government in its fight against corruption, he said.
