Congress today took a dig at BJP' over its "open door policy" of inducting in its fold Kiran Bedi, Shazia Ilmi to Krishna Tirath saying the U S Democratic Party is "scared" as Amit Shah could enrol Barack Obama in his party.

"Given Amit Shah's open door policy Frm Bedi to Ilmi to Binny to Tirath, US Democratic Party scared that Shah may not enrol Obama into party", party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said in a series of Tweets.

The U S President is visiting India this week and will be the Chief Guest at the Republic Day function.

Apparently targetting Tirath who joined BJP today, Singhvi said "Defectors must nt forget-lotus remains mired in dirt, does not rise for long & has communalism, false promises & Godse as its true thoughts."

"Hope Krishna tirathji does not take bjp onto a new pilgrimage", he said making a pun on her surname which means 'pilgrimage' in English.

Another Congress spokesman Sanjay Jha also took barb at leaders like Tirath and Bedi. "Parachuting is a tough task; I can't visualize anyone of the recent political turncoats performing that act. This is just rank opportunism.", he said.

Singhvi took a jibe at both Bedi and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal by tweeting " Parivartan ngo started by Kejriwal bt biggest heart change (parivartan) seems to have occurred qua bedi".

Making light of the challenge from BJP led by Bedi, he tweeted:" Let Bedi first get acceptability within bjp before expecting acceptability from delhi Janata.

He was also caustic about the likely electoral fate of AAP. "Aap winning delhi may be as impossible as indian team winning Australia in Australia".
