Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal's decision to represent West Bengal government in the multi-crore Saradha scam in Supreme Court was publicly criticised today by WBPCC President Adhir Chowdhury, who said a protest letter has been sent to the AICC president.
Adressing a rally of party workers here, Chowdhury said the state Congress condemns Sibal's decision and have expressed its regret against it.
"We have also written a protest letter to Sonia Gandhi," he said, adding, Congress will continue its fight against Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.

Chowdhury, who had criticised Sibal yesterday too, said the character of lawyers cannot be decided by him but, "As long as I am the state Congress president I can say that Sibal will not be invited to any programme of the party here".
The state Congress will not scale down its agitation "at all" against TMC because of Sibal's decision to fight the case. "We will stand on our own feet. We do not want to see the world by climbing on other people," he said.
Chowdhury demanded that until proved innocent, Banerjee should resign as Chief Minister.
AICC general secretary C P Joshi, who was billed to attend the rally, was conspicuous by his absence.
When asked, state Congress leader Manas Bhunia told PTI, "I do not know why he (Joshi) could not come".
West Bengal government and its ruling party Trinamool Congress had yesterday moved Supreme Court seeking a court-monitored CBI probe into the scam alleging that the agency was acting as an "instrument" of the Centre and targeting TMC leaders.
