The Opposition Congress has decided to gherao the Chief Minister's residence tomorrow to "expose" ruling party's claims over development, law and order, malnutrition and corruption issues. Problems faced by farmers and non-fulfillment of promises made by the ruling BJP would also be highlighted during the protest.

"We have received information that the state administration has made elaborate arrangements to prevent large number of Congressmen from entering into Bhopal and in view of that we have asked them to stage dharna at that point only wherever they were stopped," state Congress media in-charge Manak Agrawal told reporters.

Before the gherao, a public meeting will be held near New Market which will be addressed by the Congress General Secretary in-charge of Madhya Pradesh, B K Hariprasad, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industries, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the State Congress President, Kantilal Bhuria and Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh.

After the rally, the Congress workers will march towards Chief Minister's residence.

Agrawal also alleged that the local administration in the state capital had also created problems in setting up a stage at the venue of the rally, but when Bhuria and other Congress leaders registered strong protest, necessary permissions were given.

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh and Union Minister for Urban Development and Chhindwara MP Kamal Nath would not be able to attend the protest for personal reasons.
