Uttar Pradesh Congress will take help of cartoons to highlight the "failures" of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre and Samajwadi Party government in the state during its agitation on July 22.

"To highlight the failures of the NDA government including its anti-farmer policies, going back on its promise to bring back black money and others, help of cartoons will be taken during its 'kisan bachao, bhrashtachar-mitao, vada-nibhao' agitation on July 22", chairman of communications department of the party, Satyadev Tripathi said.

The cartoons for the purpose have been selected from those which are popular on the social media with stinging comments on the caricature of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said.

The party will also use cartoons of UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to stress on the failures of the state government, Tripathi said, adding that issues like power tariff hike, non-payment of sugarcane dues and prevailing jungle raj will be highlighted.

During the agitation, effigies of the prime minister will be burnt at the district headquarters, cities and panchayat levels, he said.

Leaders have been asked to take rounds of all the districts and make preparations for the agitation, Tripathi added.
