Cong to observe August Kranti Day, undertake sankalp yatra

The Uttar Pradesh Congress will observe 'August kranti day' tomorrow through a number of programmes and undertake 'sankalp yatras' at all district headquarters of the state.

Congress spokesperson Ashok Singh said the partymen will take out 'sankalp yatras' on issues faced by the unemployed, farmers, labourers and traders.

The party workers will also take an oath to safeguard democracy and secularism in the country and will pay homage to freedom fighters, Singh said.

In-charge of Janandolan Samiti Swayam Prkash Goswami will head the yatra in Lucknow while other party leaders will lead the yatra and other programmes in the districts, he said.
 

Party workers and activists will march to the Vidhan Bhawan from the Congress headquarters here, Singh said.
