In the backdrop of jolt to the party in Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and trouble brewing in Himachal Pradesh, Congress leadership has decided to hold protest marches in all party-ruled states against the Centre's alleged attempts to "destabilise and topple" its governments.
Sources said that at a meeting of AICC general secretaries last night, it was decided to hold protest marches at district level in all Congress-ruled states on April 4 and hold state level protests between April 10 and 20.
A communication has already been sent to the states regarding the agitation plans, they said.

However, the plan at the national level has not been finalised as yet.
The meeting chalked out protest plans for various states and it was decided that the general secretary in-charge of the state will finalise details of the party's agitational plans to aggressively protest "moves" by the BJP-led government, besides nipping in bud dissension, if any, and keeping the party flock together.
The meeting also discussed the political situation in all Congress-ruled states in the backdrop of the Centre imposing President's Rule in Uttarakhand recently.
Congress is currently ruling Assam, Manipur Meghalaya, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.
