Congress will undertake a nine-day 'padyatra' in all Assembly constituencies to muster up support for the party's proposed Kisan rally in New Delhi against land acquisition bill and other issues on April 19.
"In a meeting with party district presidents, it has been decided to take out padyatra in all the Assembly constituencies till April 17 for mustering up support for party's rally in New Delhi," Congress state president Nirmal Khatri told reporters.
He said issues like land acquisition, losses to farmers due to rain, farmers' suicide, sugarcane dues payment and others issues would be raised during the padyatra.

About state unit's participation in the New Delhi rally, Khatri claimed that over 50,000 people of the state would attend it.
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is expected to attend the rally after his sabbatical leave.
Asked about Rahul's presence in the rally, party's state incharge Madhu Sudan Mistry said, "I only know that party president Sonia Gandhi will lead the rally.
