"The state government was mired in huge corruption in the Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana and Congress will not only close the Yojana, but also order a probe to punish those involved in it," Amin said, while announcing the nine points of the party's 12-point agenda of 'Gujarat people development vision-2012'.

The Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana was launched by Chief Minister Narendra Modi in 2007 for tribal development and the state government allocated a budget of Rs 15,000 crore for it.

"However, despite the huge amount allocated for the yojana, the state government had undertaken no development activity," Amin said, adding that tribals in the state are being ignored by the Modi government.

The Congress will set up a vigilance squad to ensure the safety of the dalit and tribal community, the former state deputy chief minister said.
