A Congress worker and his two brothers were sentenced to life imprisonment today in connection with a murder by a district court in Bihar's Sheikhpura.
Additional District and Sessions judge Satish Chandra Shrivastava awarded life term to Suresh Singh and his two brothers - Umesh Singh and Mahesh Singh - for killing Suchit Kumar of Babanbigha village in Sheikhpura district.
Singh is at present the coordinator of vigilance committee formed by Congress for food security legislation. He has served as Congress block president in Sheikhpura.
Suchit Kumar was shot dead on September 2 in 2005, public prosecutor Uday Narayan Sinha said.
