Congress workers today brought a train to halt while protesting against the BJP-led Central government for "failing to deliver on its promise".

Led by former Union Minister Shriprakash Jaiswal, about 100 party workers had the Kalindi Express train stopped for about 15 minutes here. The protesters carried anti-government banners, shouted slogans and indulged in a scuffle with the police personnel who tried to disperse them.

Senior Congress leader Jaiswal told reporters that the Narendra Modi government has failed miserably at every front during its nine months in power.

On a special court summoning former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as an accused in the the Hindalco coal block allocation case, Jaiswal said, "Manmohan Singh has got a clean record. I am sure that he will be acquitted and come out clean.
