Congress today staged a protest here against the NDA government at the Centre and the Arvind Kejriwal-led dispensation in Delhi, accusing them of not keeping their promises made to the public.

Led by Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken, scores of party leaders and workers gathered at Jantar Mantar to protest against both the governments.

"We staged protest to express our dissent against the central and state governments. They made promises to solve public issues, but those remain unattended," Congress' media in-charge Chhattar Singh said.

The protest came in the wake of BJP-led NDA and AAP completing one year and 100 days of governance at the Centre and in Delhi respectively.

The Congress also accused BJP and AAP of engaging in a tussle over appointment of acting Chief Secretary for Delhi government to "divert attention" of people from their "failure" in solving public issues as promised.

"They (AAP) are now discussing Union Home Ministry's notification which is not under their jurisdiction. This is being done unnecessarily. People are left without power and electricity. But the government is not bothered about it," Singh said even as he expressed concern over delay in appointment of Lokayukta for the state.
