The state unit of Congress today condemned the ceasefire violation by Pakistani Rangers on the International Border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir in which one civilian was killed and two others were injured.
"Congress strongly condemns the unprovoked firing by Pakistan in Samba sector resulting in the death of one person and injuries to two others," JKPCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma said in a statement issued here.
He said the party has expressed serious concern over the repeated incidents of border firing along the border in J&K during past one-and-a-half years of the BJP-led government at the Centre.

Sharma expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family and the injured persons in the incident, and demanded adequate compensation for the affected.
A civilian was killed and two others were injured last evening when Pakistani troops indulged in heavy firing along the IB in Mangu Chak border outpost.
