Congress today decided to field Narendra Ramola as its candidate for the Tehri assembly constituency in Uttarakhand.
Congress spokesperson Tom Vadakkan said AICC general secretary Madhusudan Mistry released his name after the party's Central Election Committee cleared his candidature.
The Congress has also decided to support the candidature of Pritam Singh Panwar, from Dhanolti Assembly Constituency and is contesting as UKD(P) candidate from the seat.
Uttarakhand goes to polls on February 15 for electing its 70-member assembly.
