"We ask our partner National Conference to prevent Kamal from making remarks against the Congress and its leadership as this has the potential to disturb the smooth functioning of the state government," JKPCC general secretary Ravinder Sharma said.
He termed Kamal's recent utterances aganist the Congress as "highly objectionable and distortion of historical facts".
Kamal should not forget that because of Congress support the National Conference was in power in the state and its party chief Farooq Abdullah a minister in the UPA government at the Centre, Sharma said.
Addressing a party convention yesterday, Kamal had held the successive governments at the Centre responsible for what he said alienation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
NC Additional General Secretary and MLA Kamal had also advised the Centre to make up for the "past blunders" and make efforts to restore autonomy to the state.
"Such false, baseless and mischievous statements will not be tolerated anymore and if this continues, we will be forced to take up the issue with the party high command," Sharma said.
