"We have no B or C team in Odisha as alleged by certain leaders of the BJD and OJM," OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik told reporters responding a question on the ruling BJD allegedly willing to play B team of Congress in the state.
OJM leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pyarimohan Mohapatra on the maiden meeting of his outfit yesterday, had alleged that the BJD was willing to work as the B team of Congress. He also accused the BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of having struck a deal with the Congress.
Mohapatra said this referring to Naveen's earlier statement of describing OJM as the B team of Congress.
The OPCC president claimed that they have no link either with the BJD or the OJM. "That is their internal party matter. Congress should not figure in their quarrel," he said.
Meanwhile, the opposition BJP claimed that its earlier charge of a nexus between the BJD and the Congress has come to the fore. "Though we have said this several times earlier, no one paid any heed towards it," said a senior BJP leader.
