Congress leading in four, MNF in one in Mizoram

The Congress was leading in four seats while the Mizo National Front in one in Mizoram in early trends available today.

Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla of the Congress was leading in his home turf of Serchhip, while the party was also leading in Tuivawl, Tawi, and South Tuipui.

The Mizo National Front (MNF) nominee L. Thangmawia was leading in the Lengteng seat where the Forests Minister H. Rohluna of the INC is trailing.

The Congress had contested all the 40 seats.

The MNF, which is part of the opposition Mizoram Democratic Alliance (MDA) had contested 31 RPT 31 seats.

The MDA has contested all the 40 seats.
