The Congress and the Left Front legislature party today boycotted the all party meeting called by the Assembly Speaker accusing the Trinamool Congress government of not giving enough importance to the opposition.

The all party meeting was called by the Speaker to discuss about the upcoming assembly session next week.

"Why would we go to the all party meeting when we are not given enough importance in the meeting. Everything is pre decided. We are not allowed to speak in the House, whenever we try to raise any issue we are not allowed to," Leader of Opposition Abdul Manan said.

According to a senior Left Front leader, the Left MLAs also boycotted the all party meet as "the Left are not allowed to present their views".

Mocking senior Congress leader Manan, West Bengal Parliamentary Affairs minister Partha Chatterjee said, "They (Congress) need to do something to stay in news so they had boycotted the all party meeting. It is for them to decide,".
