Taking a dig at the seat sharing talks between Congress and NCP ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena today said that a massive defeat for both parties in the Assembly elections is inevitable.

"Both parties are fighting over seat sharing for the upcoming elections and are saying that they can win the elections even without an alliance. But a massive defeat is lined up for both parties whether they fight as partners or not," the Shiv Sena in its editorial mouthpiece "Saamna" today said.

It further added that the altercations between the two parties is nothing but a "source of entertainment" for Maharashtra. Sena said that it is ironical that the parties try to out do each other at every possible opportunity and yet continue talking about fight elections as alliance partners.

"There are a host of Congress-NCP leaders that have joined the Sena lately. The one question that is plaguing them is to find a way to stop the migration of their leaders into our party," the party said.

"It is very courageous of them to remain busy bickering among themselves and speaking of fighting elections by themselves," it added.

The Sena said that the Congress and the NCP will get to taste defeat once again as it did in the Lok Sabha elections.

"Big leaders like Prithviraj Chavan, Manikrao Thakrey, Narayan Rane, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil and R R Patil should definitely come out and fight elections. Only then will Maharashtra get a chance to make them taste defeat post elections," it said.
