Former Assam chief minister and Congress leader Tarun Gogoi on Monday said the party is not in favour of anyone indulging in crimes, while referring to the conviction of Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.
Gogoi said he could not comment on the conviction of Kumar as it is the domain of the court to decide whether someone is guilty or not.
"We are not in favour of anybody indulging in crimes." Gogoi told reporters on the sidelines of a programme here.
The Delhi High Court earlier in the day sentenced Kumar for conspiracy to commit murder and sentenced him to imprisonment for life.
