Referring to the voters' list revision, which starts from tomorrow, WBPCC president Pradip Bhattacharya said, "Trinamool Congress has been vehemently opposing the move to induct fresh names of those who have attained 18 years of age in voters lists prior to the panchayat elections.

"We struggled hard to ensure that those attaining 18 years, should be registered in new voters lists," he said.

Referring to the breakup of the alliance with the Trinamool Congress, Bhattacharya said, "Congress is prepared to fight the panchayat elections alone and we are optimistic of our success."

The PCC president alleged that Trinamool Congress was apprehensive about voters' list revision in the state prior to the panchayat polls.
