Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Satyavrat Chaturvedi who had allegedly described Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh as a "big conspirator" recently, was blamed by his own younger brother Alok Charurvedi today, for allegedly masterminding his defeat by hatching a conspiracy against him during assembly polls.

Alok, who unsuccessfully contested the Madhya Pradesh elections on a Congress ticket alleged that his elder brother had hatched a big conspiracy against him during the elections.

He alleged that Satyavrat is surrounded by sycophants and does not like to hear the truth.

Alok also alleged that Satyavrat's son Nitin and wife Neelam had worked against the Congress party and supported an independent candidate instead of supporting him as the Congress candidate.

Alok told reporters that he would complain to the high command against Satyavrat for hatching a conspiracy and urge that an observer be sent to Chhatarpur to probe the conspiracy.
