The Congress today said it wanted the truth about the chitfund scam and reiterated the demand for a CBI inquiry.
"We don't want witch-hunting. We also don't want to comment against anyone without knowing the truth. We want a proper investigation. If CBI is entrusted with the probe, the truth will come out," WBPCC President Pradip Bhattacharya said here.
A CBI investigation was all the more necessary as the the Saradha scam had spread far and wide with the involvement of many people, he said.
