Exhorting party workers and leaders to devote themselves from the block level before Assembly polls, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today said Congress was running under the guidance of party vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the state.

"Congress will run strongly under the guidance of Rahul Gandhi," Gehlot told reporters after paying tributes to a senior party functionary Nemchand Sen who did not return after the Uttarakhad tragedy.

"It is Rahul Gandhi who wants the party to organise more frequent block level meetings than PCC executive gatherings," he said.

As the organisation (PCC) got energised, my government started getting feedback from block and village levels, Gehlot said, adding that the state government planned future welfare programmes based on those reports.

Responding to a question on state government employees' threat of a sit-in demonstration highlighting their demands, the Chief Minister said, some of them were playing politics in the hands of BJP.

The state government was not leaving any stone unturned and was giving all benefits at par with central government employees, he claimed.
